Poland and Romania are the most dynamic economies in the CE Europe

With a total estimated population of 60 million, Poland and Romania continue to be the most dynamic economies in the CE Europe, both being EU and NATO members. 

Industrial production in Romania increased 3.4% in July of 2015 vs. July 2014. The Romanian GDP expanded 3.3% in the second quarter of 2015 over the same quarter of the previous year, mainly due to the final consumption (+4.8%).

Cost of food in Romania decreased 7.15% in August of 2015 over the same month in the previous year. Average gross monthly wages in Romania increased to 2563 RON/month in July from 2516 RON/month in June of 2015.

In Q2 2015, consumer spending in Romania increased to 30768.10 million RON (approx. 7000 million EUR) from 30600.70 RON Million in Q2 2015, while Romanian retail sales increased 8.5% in July of 2015 vs. July 2014.

In July 2015, industrial production in Poland increased 3.8% over the same month of 2014, as manufacturing production went up by 4.6%. The Polish economy expanded 0.9% in Q2 of 2015, slowing from 1% in Q1 and matching preliminary estimates. Public spending was the main driver of growth, while, private consumption and fixed investment slowed.

Cost of food in Poland decreased 1.7% in July of 2015 vs. July 2014. Polish retail sales increased 1.2% in July of 2015 compared to the same month of 2014.
