The Romanian Market of Agricultural Equipment and Farm Machinery Continues to Develop in H1 2016

According to the FRD Center analysis, the top ten importer-distributors of agricultural machinery and farm equipment in Romania, registered in 2015 total sales of 277.2 mil EUR, 3.7% higher than in 2014. These players are IPSO Agricultura, Mewi Import Export Agrar Industrietechnik, General Leasing, Agritehnica Service, Serv Class, NHR Agropartners, Titan Machinery Romania, Proagroservice, Belarus Tractor and Agrocomert Holding.

IPSO Agricultura is the market leader on the Romanian imported agricultural machinery market.

With 20 years of experience in agriculture and 350 employees in eight regional centers in 2016, IPSO Agricultura is part of the French group Monnoyeur. IPSO Agricultura provides integrated services to the agricultural producers in Romania, such as machinery, spare parts, field service and operator training.

IPSO Agricultura is the sole authorized importer of John Deere vehicles and machinery in Romania. Other agricultural equipment and machinery they import and sell in Romania are Kuhn, Manitou, Bednar FMT, Perard, Fliegl, Pichon, Kemper, Zurn, Geringhoff, Grasdorf, Laforge and Eassymass.

According to the FRD Center analysis, in 2015, IPSO Agricultura registered sales 5.5% higher than in 2014, amounting to 114.6 mil EUR.

Serv Class was set up in 1999 and it is 100% a Romanian company. It is one of the most dynamic and ambitious local importer-distributors of agricultural machinery and farm equipment in Romania, having registered a sales growth of nearly 39% in 2015 compared to 2014, according to the FRD Center analysis .

The brands they import and sell in Romania are Claas, Lemken, Amazone, Maschio Gaspardo, Berthoud.

Another very dynamic company, according to the FRD Center analysis of the agricultural machinery and farm equipment importer-distributors in Romania, is Mewi Import Export Agrar Industrietechnik. In 2015 their profit was more than 21% higher than in 2014, while their sales figure grew with almost 10%.

The company imports and sells in Romania agricultural machines, tractors and various farm equipments of brands such as Challenger, Valtra, Fendt, Spearhead, Geringhoff and many others. Apart from their own seven sales locations, Mewi collaborates with seven dealers and distributors covering entire Romania.
